One of the biggest complaints most parents of teen girls have is a messy room. Teens often have a mentality of tossing what they aren’t immediately using aside, intending on picking it up later. The problem is that "later" can mean weeks, months or sometimes a year. In the mean time, things tend to stack in corners, on the floor and under the bed. Finding something is more like an archeological dig than many parents would like to think about.
One of the worst offenders in a teenage girl’s room is the closet. Because most closets have a door, it’s easy to stuff things in, such as clothes, shoes and older toys and forget about them—at least until they HAVE to find something in that mess. Then it’s a free-for-all, as they dig into the depths.
It might seem like an impossible task, but taming that closet is often the first step in helping a teenage girl keep her room clean. By keeping the closet organized, clothing and shoes can be easily found if kept in the right places.
