Finding holiday surprises can be a challenge. The list that follows includes some of our favorite ideas.

If you’re looking for the perfect gift, it’s important to use your imagination. Sometimes, items that you may not even have thought of may be something that will really make the recipient happy. Here are some more ideas.**  
**

**Make it Personal**

Getting personalized items is a great surprise for some people. One idea you may want to consider getting is a monogrammed serving tray. It offers a touch of elegance to any gathering and they may use it multiple times on many different occasions as well.

**Kitchen Utensils**

Some people are true artists in the kitchen, but great works of art all require that the artist have the right tools to work with! Consider a food-safe wood cutting board. They’re great for hygiene in the kitchen and the wood is a lot easier on expensive kitchen knives as opposed to other materials. A new knife and cutting board make a great combination gift.

**Green and Clean**

Storage crates are great for keeping items safe and for organizing closets and other spaces. You can get antique crates at most antique stores and they’re not expensive. Consider getting one for someone. With a bit of cleaning, perhaps some refinishing—or not, if you want the vintage look—they can make great gifts. It’s a great way to reuse an item, too.

**For Your Pets: Pet Feeding Station**

With some vintage wood, you can make a great pet feeding station. Trace the outlines of your dog’s dishes into the top of a box and cut out the spaces needed. You can make your own box. Vintage wood really looks great for this, and you don’t have to worry about it getting damaged!
